The Eden Resort & Suites Declares War On Winter Blues Via Unique Schedule
It’s that time of year again: kids can hardly contain themselves in anticipation of their schoolroom seats, parents are overwhelmed with excitement at the prospect of arising every morning
Lancaster, PA, United States of America (sardnews.org) 9/5/2012 12:00:00 AM – It’s that time of year again: kids can hardly contain themselves in anticipation of their schoolroom seats, parents are overwhelmed with excitement at the prospect of arising every morning and commuting home from work each night in total darkness; well maybe on some other planet, but here on earth it’s good to know summer surges on at a popular Lancaster PA lodging spot.
Psychologists term the condition seasonal depression disorder; those of us who can’t afford the jargon, or, diagnosis of a psychologist refer to the phenomenon as winter blues. The truth is that no one likes to see the days grow steadily shorter. It means that carefree vacation days in the sand are a thing of the past and that the raging river adventures you’ve been discussing, but not actually planning, with your friends will just have to wait one more year. Summer is over…or is it?
The Eden Resort in Lancaster PA has decreed a moratorium on brooding for summer days gone by. Well why not, the fall weather in south central Pennsylvania is traditionally beautiful for months to come through September and October. One thing is for sure, no other hotels in Lancaster PA are embracing the longevity of summer quite like the Eden Resort and Suites.
The Eden will maintain accessibility to the outdoor pool, and all outdoor recreation facilities, through the last weekend in October. Of course, despite the historically fine weather Lancaster has to offer in autumn, dispersed intermittently will be some overcast days and chilly evenings. Not to worry, the Eden Resort in Lancaster has countered Mother Nature by increasing the temperature of both their outdoor pool and children’s splash zone to a soothing 82 degrees.
Moreover, there’s more than just the pool to look forward to as summer stampedes its resurgence at this Lancaster PA hotel leader. All outdoor recreation facilities will be open through October including the basketball court, children’s playground, shuffleboard courts, putting green, bocce ball court and more.
Of course, every hotel and resort from here to Timbuktu presents an eye-popping list of facilities and activities on their website or brochure. However, far too often in the realm of tourism a guest arrives to find the only eye-popping aspect of the amenities guaranteed is the deplorable state of disrepair in which they are found.
To the relief of resort management and prospective patrons alike, the Eden has remedied this unpleasantry with emphasis and enthusiasm to combat the winter blues especially. In the last five years the grounds of the resort have been drastically remodeled. Unsightly, dilapidated installations have been demolished in favor of the construction of beautiful, modern facilities.
“It was time for a change,” said a member of the Eden Resort’s management team, “the old facilities were great for their time but they had gotten rundown and outdated. Everything currently at the Eden Resort in Lancaster, in the way of recreation, is brand new and state-of-the-art.”
