At Eden Resort, we love finding best places to explore in our wonderful Lancaster County. We enjoy discovering hidden gems, as well as visiting the well-known spots for locals and out-of-towners.

So we asked several of our team members to tell us what their favorite Lancaster spot or activity was, and here’s what they shared:

On rainy and cold days, going to the Sky Zone, an “anti-boredom” indoor trampoline park and Bounce Kraze, an indoor inflatable park, is a perfect way to get your blood flowing and to awaken the kid in all of us.

Another great destination is the Spooky Nook, the largest and most innovative indoor sports complex in the country, with over 700,000 square feet under one roof and 50 acres of outdoor facilities. It includes basketball courts, field hockey courts, volleyball courts, soccer fields, indoor track, a full-sized baseball infield, a fitness center, a climbing center, numerous meeting and party spaces, a food court and arcade, and much, much more.

When the days are nice and the outdoor calls, there are a few parks that made it to our interviewed employees’ list: Overlook Park, East Lampeter Park, and Long’s Park.

The playgrounds at Oregon Dairy and Cherry Hill Orchard are among some of the favorite places to go with your kids or simply to feel like a kid. Cherry Hills is also great for apple picking and pumpkin picking. At the Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, you can spend all day pumpkin picking, exploring the corn maze, and engaging in other fun activities (closed on Sundays).

If you want to learn more about the Amish and their way of living, the Amish Village is a good place to start.

If you love history, you will love Landis Valley Museum, a living history village and farm, that collects, preserves and interprets the history and material culture of the Pennsylvania German rural community from 1740 to 1940.

For sweet, yummy treats, Strasburg Creamery is a must. Kitchen Kettle Village is a great tourist destination, offering quaint little shops, artisan goods, and delicious local food.

Of course, there are many other places that offer amazing food, and we’ll be happy to supply you with more info – just ask at the reception desk.

Old Mill Antique Store in Strasburg is a unique, old building that offers architectural salvage, and a ton of yard and garden decorations.
